FREDERICK, MD, USA, March 7, 2014 — BioElectronics Corporation (OTC Pink: BIEL), the maker of advanced consumer medical devices won citations in two award categories from the OTC Bulletin, the leading global trade publication for over-the-counter healthcare products.  The Smart Insole™ Heel Pain Therapy product was highly commended as the “Most Innovative New OTC Product Award” and the ActiPatch® Musculoskeletal Therapy was runner-up for its “Best New OTC Packaging Design Award”

While making its commendation in the Most Innovative New OTC Product category the award judges said, “BioElectronics’ Smart Insole rides the wave of wearable tech’ that looks likely to crash into the consumer healthcare market.  It offers an innovative way to deal with an unglamorous and difficult-to-treat problem.”  Bayer AG was top entrant in the category with 35 points to BioElectronics’ 32.
